Smags Services specializes in residential stump grinding and handles both small and large stumps, including multiple stumps on a single property.
Stump grinding uses specialized equipment to grind the visible portion of the stump below ground level. The remaining root system stays underground and naturally decomposes over time.
This process helps clear the area for future landscaping or general property use. And, most importantly, your lawn mower will stop trying to locate the stump the hard way.
Stump Grinding Pricing Information
Stump grinding pricing depends on several factors, including the number of stumps, stump diameter, accessibility, surrounding conditions, and location. Because no two properties or stumps are the same, we do not use flat pricing.
Instead, we provide custom quotes based on the specific details of your project. This ensures fair, accurate pricing and helps avoid surprises before work begins.
Optional Services
Some jobs may require or request additional services beyond standard stump grinding.
Optional services may include:
- Wood chip removal
- Additional stump grinding beyond the quoted scope
- Site cleanup beyond standard grinding
- Soil and grass seed placement after grinding
Optional services are quoted separately when requested or when site conditions require additional work. Optional services are not included in the base quote unless specifically noted.
Locations outside our normal service area may include a travel fee. This will always be disclosed in advance when a quote is provided.

You may request a quote by submitting information through our website or by calling or sending a text message with a photo of the stump. Photos help us provide the most accurate quote possible.
Step 2: Quote Review
We review your request and follow up with a clear, no obligation quote.
Step 3: Scheduling
Once the quote is approved, we coordinate a service date that works for both parties.
Step 4: Stump Grinding
We complete the stump grinding using professional equipment and established safety practices.
Step 5: Payment
Payment is due upon completion of service.
